Meet Lauren
Growing through the game
Across six years of collegiate soccer, Lauren learned that the most lasting parts of the sport extend far beyond a scoreline. Training, competing, and sharing a locker room taught her how to keep showing up, work for something larger than herself, and build trust with the people beside her.
She has continued that journey with the Charlotte Lady Eagles, returning for a third summer season. Through the Eagles, soccer and Christian ministry meet in a tangible way: faith is lived out both on and off the field.
Lauren describes that growth simply and personally—God has shaped her not only as a player, but as a daughter of Christ.
A place that stayed with her
Chiang Mai, January 2026
Lauren's first trip to Southeast Asia began as a visit to her aunt, who lives in Chiang Mai and is involved in mission work. The experience gave Lauren time to encounter Thailand's culture and get to know more about its people.
She returned home knowing two things: she wanted to play another season with the Lady Eagles, and she hoped she would someday return to Thailand.
When the opportunity came to join her teammates on a Thailand soccer mission, those two desires met. It felt like a rare chance to return to a country she had just fallen in love with while serving alongside people she already trusted.

From Guatemala to Thailand
Two mission trips to Guatemala with her John Brown University team showed Lauren how soccer can bridge differences, build relationships, and create openings to share the Gospel.
